Young-Bush brings huge ratings for MNF

Young-Bush had viewers, mostly male, begging for more.

(NEW ORLEANS, LA) -- Monday Night Football finally showed signs of getting out of it's ratings slump last night with a sexy Young-Bush match-up that drew huge numbers.

ESPN, which teased viewers with glimpses and highlights of Bush all week during promos, did not forget to emphasize Young too.  "Well, anytime you can get Young and Bush in the same sentence, it's a pretty easy sell," said MNF announcer Mike Tirico.  "As broadcasters, Tony, Mort and I just tried to stay out of the way and not screw it up.  The last thing a TV audience wants to see, when enjoying Young-Bush, is a bunch of old guys like us yapping away."

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, who was relieved to finally get some positive press for the NFL, was understandably ecstatic.  "When you get the chance to stick Young and Bush on the turf, you gotta do it," said Goodell.  "It's a no-brainer.  Our core audience of 18 to 45-year old males just salivate over the prospect of Young-Bush."

"Bush alone might have actually been enough for viewers," he continued.  "I mean, how can you deny the overwhelming presence of Bush?  But when we told viewers that Young would be involved, the advertisers just pounced all over it."

ESPN also reported record hits on it's MNF web page, almost all exclusively coming from Google searches for Young-Bush.
