What they're sayin' about us (shockingly real)...

  • "The Sports Hernia: Where I go online to get my laughs." --Peter Vecsey, New York Post, NBATV
  • "The Sports Hernia does what good satire should: It makes you laugh hardest at yourself." --Sally Jenkins, The Washington Post
  • "Not since turf-toe has a painful injury been so damn funny. I've even been known to steal jokes from the Sports Hernia from time to time." --Dr. Blogstein, Radio Happy Hour

Grey cinderblock shoot perfectly captures Royals constant rebuilding, depressing aura

Now that the Kansas City Royals have improved their record to 3-0, the new darlings of baseball have apparently become instantly marketable as you can see in the clever photography shown above from their new calendar

The edgy stills are just creepy teasers of what's available in the full set, shot by renowned bearded hipster and full-time scarf wearer, Nathan Van Wilderhauser of Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

One thing we've been able to draw for certain from this victory of a photo shoot is that there's a new sheriff in town, and his name is Mark Grudzielanek (picture after the jump).

The three galleries from the shoot are available here, here and here.

Bet On The Game

  • Nothing changes an average game like Betting Online. When you have a stake in the outcome of a contest, a typical match can become a memorable event. One might say that it's even more fun than a sports hernia... and you could come away with some extra cash! The only better feeling than winning is having extra pocket money.
